Phondo lines up Ada Ehi, Pompi for October show

Gospel musician Theresa Phondo took a solid pace ahead of her concert next month revealing that Nigerian singer Ada Ehi and Zambia’s Pompi will be part of the lineup.
The concert will be held at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) Amphitheatre in Lilongwe on October 31 2026.
Dubbed Theresa Phondo Live in Concert, the former Zathu Band member said the show will also feature Beracah and her former band mates at Zathu Praise Umali, Paul Kachala, and Esther Chitheka Nkhoma.
Speaking during a presser in Lilongwe yesterday, the ‘Yewo’ star said she has for a long time been inspired by Ada Ehi and Pompi hence engaging them for her concert.
“Over the years, my music has reached audiences beyond Malawi, and the growth has been unexpected but exciting. I felt it is now time to bring this experience back home,” Phondo said.
The artist also disclosed that she will be releasing a seven track Extended Playlist (EP) which will have a track she has featured Pompi.
“I have seen that when you work hard and involve God in everything, there is so much He can do. That is why it is important to now have an event together, bring all the supporters together, and celebrate what God has been doing,” Phondo said.
This will not be the first time for Ada Ehi and Pompi to perform in the country.
Phondo has since said that the concert will also act as a celebration of her journey from Zathu Band her solo career.
The concert’s head of security Parton Kumwenda said they have intensified preparations with an aim of giving people maximum entertainment.
“We are working with the police, a security company and BICC staff to ensure the venue is welcoming for family entertainment,” Kumwenda said.
